How To Unlock Merida

To unlock Merida, you must complete several quests from the Storybook Vale questline. The first step is to check your mailbox for a letter from the Lorekeeper, then make your way to the Stardust Port.

Welcome To The Storybook Vale Quest Walkthrough

Once you're in the Stardust Port within the Dream Castle, take the autumnal air balloon to reach the new land in the sky. Up here, high above the valley, you'll find Merida surrounded by inkies.

Use your dreamlight magic to remove the inkies like you would with Night Thorns, then follow her to meet the Lorekeeper

of legend. Upon meeting with the Lorekeeper, you'll learn all about the predicament surrounding the Vale and what your role is.

After you obtain the Royal Net and help restore some of the Lorekeeper's magic

, you're halfway to unlocking Merida as a friend!

A New Chapter Quest Walkthrough

The next quest you'll need to complete is A New Chapter, which has you unlock the Bind and help Merida clean it up

by removing inkies and Snippets.

You'll also help her get the fountains back up and running, as well as work with villagers like Scrooge McDuck and Goofy to open stalls and shops. Once you've helped revitalize the area, you'll find a hidden room with Merida.

and welcome her to your village!

How To Unlock More Of Merida's Friendship Quests

When you unlock Merida as a friend, you can spend time with her starting at level two. Giving her a role allows you to hangout with her and increase her friendship level over time, though you can also give her lots of gifts

to speed up the process.

Merida will also enjoy meals at Chez Remy, and you can have a daily discussion with her every day to increase your friendship. As your friendship grows, you'll unlock more quests

that help the two of you grow closer.

Eventually, upon reaching level ten, you'll unlock Merida's best friend quest, which will wrap up her personal arc and grant you a unique reward
