Pokemon Go is hosting the Harvest Festival Event this month, a returning in-game event following a farming and harvest theme. Like other limited-time events, the Harvest Festival Event will change your in-game experience during the event window, and will even be debuting a brand-new Shiny Pokemon.
The Harvest Festival Event will be relatively short, taking place over the course of six days; spanning from Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 10am local time to Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 8pm local time. Read on for all you need to know about this returning event and all the changes it will be bringing to Pokemon Go.
Pokemon Debut: Shiny Smoliv
Smoliv, a Pokemon that was recently released in Pokemon Go, will have the chance of being Shiny for the first time during this event. During this event, you will have the opportunity to encounter and catch Smoliv as a wild encounter Pokemon, research reward, and a Collection Challenge reward.
Although you will be able to encounter a Shiny Smoliv in this event, their Shiny rate will not be boosted.
This means that it will most likely still be difficult and rare to encounter a Shiny Smoliv.
Event Bonuses
For this event, there will be three different bonuses active throughout its duration, available to all players who log-in and play. These bonuses include:
- Earn double the Candy when catching Pokemon.
- Higher likelihood of encountering Shiny Pumpkaboo.
- Event-themed Pokemon will be attracted to Mossy Lure Modules (Alolan Exeggutor, Snorlax, Pumpkaboo, and Smoliv).
Pumpkaboo that you encounter through Mossy Lure Modules will have increased chances of being Super Sized.
Wild Encounter Pokemon
The Pokemon that you encounter in the wild will also be following this event's theme, giving you the opportunity to catch several Pokemon that don't appear in the wild often. These event wild encounter Pokemon are provided for you below.

Event Research
Field Research Task Encounters
Make sure to spin different PokeStop Photo Discs during the Harvest Festival Event, giving you a chance to obtain Event Field Research Tasks. These Event Field Research Tasks will only be available during the event window, providing you with different in-game rewards for completing them.
Some of these Event Field Research Tasks will reward you with event-themed Pokemon encounters. For these specific Field Research Tasks, you will have the chance of encountering and catching either Pumpkaboo or Smoliv.
Paid Timed Research
There will also be Timed Research available for the Harvest Festival Event, purchasable at the Pokemon Go in-game shop. This Timed Research Ticket will cost $2.00 USD, and will unlock a variety of tasks to complete.
If these Timed Research tasks are completed, you will be rewarded with the following:
- Smoliv Encounters
- Two Mossy Lure Modules
- One Incense
- One Lucky Egg
Even if you purchase this Timed Research, it will only be available for a limited time.
If you do purchase this, make sure to complete all tasks and claim all rewards before the end of this event.
Event Collection Challenges
There will also be event-themed Collection Challenges to complete during the Harvest Festival Event. These Collection Challenges will require you to catch, evolve, or trade specific Pokemon, typically those featured throughout the event.
For these Collection Challenges, you will be rewarded with Stardust and Smoliv encounters when completing them.
Like the Paid Timed Research for this event, you will only have until the end of the Harvest Festival Event to complete these Collection Challenges and collect the rewards they provide.
Pokemon Showcases
Event-themed Pokemon Showcases will be available throughout the Harvest Festival Event. These showcases will appear at different PokeStops in the game, requiring you to enter specific Pokemon to compete.
For this event, it is likely that these showcases will require you to enter specific Pokemon featured during this event, including Pokemon like Smoliv and Pumpkaboo. For this reason, hold onto these Pokemon, providing you with different options when it comes to eligible Pokemon.
For Pokemon Showcases, you will want to enter Pokemon that are either very large or very small, depending on the showcase being hosted.
These Pokemon will earn you the most points, providing you with better in-game rewards.

mPDF
mPDF is a PHP library that can generate PDF files from UTF-8 encoded HTML. The original author, Ian Back, wrote mPDF to output PDF files "on the fly" from his website and handle different languages. It is slower than original scripts like HTML2FPDF and produces larger files when using Unicode fonts, but supports CSS styles etc. and has a lot of enhancements. Supports almost all languages, including RTL (Arabic and Hebrew) and CJK (Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Supports nested block-level elements (such as P, DIV),
