Injecting Multiple Classes into ReactJS Components

In ReactJS, the className attribute allows us to define CSS classes to style elements. When working with multiple classes, it's crucial to understand how to efficiently and dynamically add them.

Issue:

A beginner encounters an issue while trying to assign multiple classes to a className attribute within an li element:

  • Solution:

    To resolve this issue, we leverage ES6 template literals:

    const classes = `active ${data.class} main-class`;

    By enclosing multiple classes within backticks and joining them with spaces, we create a dynamic string of classes that can be assigned to the className attribute:

  • Example:

    const errorMessage = this.state.error ? "error" : "";
    const inputClasses = `form-control ${errorMessage}`;

    Then, we simply render the input:

    <input classname="{inputClasses}">

    This method provides a straightforward and versatile approach to inject multiple classes into ReactJS components, enhancing flexibility and code readability.

    mPDF is a PHP library that can generate PDF files from UTF-8 encoded HTML. The original author, Ian Back, wrote mPDF to output PDF files "on the fly" from his website and handle different languages. It is slower than original scripts like HTML2FPDF and produces larger files when using Unicode fonts, but supports CSS styles etc. and has a lot of enhancements. Supports almost all languages, including RTL (Arabic and Hebrew) and CJK (Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Supports nested block-level elements (such as P, DIV),
