Dr. Diana Marmont is the final boss you will face at the end of Alan Wake 2: The Lake House DLC. You will find her on sub-level five, the deepest level in the facility that requires you to acquire the Security Clearance Keycard 03. While her attacks are somewhat limited, they do pack a punch. Moreover, a lack of healing items makes it even more difficult.
This guide will walk you through everything there is to know about defeating Dr. Diana Marmont, her attacks, and the best strategies to avoid them.
How To Defeat Dr. Diana Marmont
To reach Diana Marmont, you will need to access Sub-level five. This requires the Security Clearance Keycard 03, which you should have by now. The moment you get there, a small cutscene will play, showing Diana brutally killing her husband, Jules Marmont, who is also Taken.
When the fight begins, dodge behind to avoid the first couple of attacks. Try to maintain some distance before using your flashlight to stun-lock her momentarily. It is a relatively simple boss fight since Dr. Marmont does not have a lot of interesting attacks. However, she does hit pretty hard and can easily catch you off guard if you are not careful enough.

Explanation | ||||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
2-hit Combo | Whenever she is in melee range, she uses the 2-hit combo during which she punches you twice. Try to dodge backward to avoid it easily. | ||||||||
AoE Blast | If you see her screeching and raising both her arms, it signals an AoE blast. This does not have a lot of range, so it should be fairly simple to avoid as long as you can create some distance. Remember that it does do a lot of damage if you are caught in it. | ||||||||
Leap Attack | When at some distance, she leaps forward with a hard-hitting punch. While it does have a decently long wind-up animation, the punch itself is lightning-fast, making it a little tough to dodge it effectively. |
After weakening her with your flashlight, unload your shotgun while avoiding the attacks detailed above. Once you have damaged her enough, she will teleport on top of the cabinets in the area. While she is there, she will keep on throwing boulders at you. Since it is pretty easy to dodge these, we recommend roaming around the area during this time to collect ammo.
During this phase, she will also summon a Painted enemy. This enemy can only be damaged by the Black Rock Launcher, so be sure to save a little ammo for it. Once you have dealt with it, damage Dr. Marmont until she jumps down. Remember to use the Shotgun only when she is at close range. While she is on top of the platform, try to use the Handgun as much as possible.
Do note that headshots do significantly more damage to her, so try to land as many as possible.
During the final phase, burn her using your flashlight once more, followed by using the strategies explained above to finish her once and for all. Once you have finished her off, interact with the lever in the area for the final cutscene.
