The United States Mint announces that the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) will hold a videoconference public meeting–primarily to review candidate designs for the Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley Congressional Gold Medal and the 2025 Comic Art Super Hero Coin and Medal Program–on November 19 from 1:00 am to 4:00 pm (ET).

The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) will hold a videoconference public meeting on November 19 from 1:00 am to 4:00 pm (ET) to review candidate designs for the Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley Congressional Gold Medal and the 2025 Comic Art Super Hero Coin and Medal Program, the United States Mint announced on June 28.

The CCAC meeting discussing candidate designs for the Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley Congressional Gold Medal and Batman and Wonder Woman coins mentioned in the agenda above is open to interested members of the public and news media.

Such interested parties may watch the meeting live stream on the United States Mint’s YouTube Channel. To watch the meeting live, members of the public may click on the “November 19, 2024” icon under the Live Tab for the specific day.

About the CCAC

In accordance with 31 U.S.C. 5135, the CCAC:

Advises the Secretary of the Treasury on any theme or design proposals relating to circulating coinage, bullion coinage, Congressional Gold Medals, and national and other medals.

Advises the Secretary of the Treasury with regards to the events, persons, or places to be commemorated by the issuance of commemorative coins in each of the five calendar years succeeding the year in which a commemorative coin designation is made.

The CCAC was established in 2003 by Congress under Public Law 108-15.
