A gold coin exchangeable for S$500,000 in cash has been hidden as part of the ongoing Hunt The Mouse cash hunt game.

An announcement about the gold coin being successfully hidden somewhere in Singapore was put up on social media on Oct. 30, the 21st day of the month-long game.

The game started at 10am on Oct. 10 and will end at 10am on Nov. 9.

Prior to this gold coin drop, about S$150,000 worth of silver coins have yet to be found after 18 days.

Daily hints about the location of the gold coin are dropped on social media at 10am, 2pm and 6pm.

The hints, for those familiar with them, are usually vague, such as, "If you see something relatively short, you may be near the coin".

It can also say, "The coin's spot is within 311m of something that has a fixed lifespan."

However, they are supposed to narrow down the region where the gold coin can be found.

As part of the gold coin's drop, a video providing advice on how to search for the gold coin was put up on Oct. 28.

The three individuals interviewed are the top silver coin hunter in 2023, gold coin winner in 2023, as well as winner of the gold coin in 2018 and 2021.

Some of their tips included using a mirror with a stick to look under hard to reach places, poking around at the back of benches and crevices, as well as triangulating and reading into clues to narrow down the location.

They all emphasise searching thoroughly.
