CryptoQuant founder and CEO Ki Young Ju has shared some interesting insights regarding the wallets used by Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin (BTC), to mine the cryptocurrency’s initial supply.

According to Young Ju, who shared his findings in a series of posts on X, the wallets used by Satoshi have never sold any of the coins they held. The crypto sleuth confirmed on X that Satoshi’s patterns show that none of the 1 million BTC credited to the Patoshi wallets has been spent.

Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin’s enigmatic creator, left behind a unique fingerprint in the early days of Bitcoin mining: the “extranonce pattern.” This distinctive pattern within the mined blocks allows researchers to trace those initial Bitcoins back to specific wallets.

However, he also warned that finding out Satoshi Nakamoto’s identity would be a bearish event. If Satoshi is alive, there would be tension about wealth concentration, which could cause the crypto market to crash. If he’s dead, everyone would be wondering who inherited Satoshi’s 9% of the Bitcoin supply, leading to a string of conspiracy theories that would distract from crypto’s true goal.

Young Ju ultimately appealed to Bitcoin supporters to better desist from finding out the real identity of Satoshi Nakamoto and to respect the principles of privacy that Bitcoin upholds.

The HBO Documentary

An HBO documentary, “Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery”, alleges that Bitcoin core developer Peter Todd is Satoshi Nakamoto. The producer of the documentary, Cullen Hoback, says he has put the pieces of the blockchain puzzle together to reveal the true picture.

I guess I'm supposed to run for president now or something… https://t.co/0xHtI4iJ7N

The documentary signs off with Todd saying, “Well yeah, I’m Satoshi Nakamoto.” But this doesn’t mean that he is actually the creator of Bitcoin. “I am Satoshi” is something Bitcoin enthusiasts say to express support for Nakamoto’s right to privacy.
