New Xiaomi Mijia Graphene Oil Heater with HyperOS arrives

Xiaomi will shortly launch the Mijia Graphene Oil Heater in China. The company recently ran a successful crowdfunding campaign for the smart home product, hosted on its Youpin platform. According to the page, the device has already started to ship to backers.

The Mijia Graphene Oil Heater can cover an area of 3.1 m² (~33.4 ft²) thanks to a 2,200W heating element. This has a graphene coating for fast heat dissipation and is said to provide “gentle” warmth. A built-in temperature sensor intelligently adjusts the heater when your desired temperature is reached. Plus, there is a sleep mode and a rail accessory which can be used to dry clothes. With HyperOS, you can remotely control the heating via the app or voice commands. On top of this, an integrated LED display shows the temperature and offers touch controls.

The heater is 631 mm (~24.8 inches) tall and 593 mm (~23.2 inches) long, and has hidden castors to make it easier to maneuver. The Xiaomi Mijia Graphene Oil Heater will retail for CNY 99 (~$99). It is unclear whether or when the product could roll out to other markets like Europe, where the company already sells products like the Mi Smart Space Heater S.
