CETUS price is up because the Cetus protocol describes itself as a decentralized exchange (DEX) that uses the growing Sui (SUI) blockchain. Sui has been one of the most powerful blockchains in the cryptocurrency market in recent weeks and has helped to increase interest in projects built on its network.

On September 23rd, Cetus launched a “Season of Memes” campaign to showcase meme coins in the Sui ecosystem. The protocol highlights the most active pools with Sui or CETUS trading currency pairs every week. Winners will receive additional rewards including rewards for mining activities.

This initiative, which ends on October 7, has probably helped to increase trading volume and increase prices.

Cetus's Total Locked Value (TVL) has seen significant growth

According to DeFiLlama, the Cetus protocol is among the top 10 chains in the DeFi category for decentralized exchanges and is currently ranked 18th with a total value locked (TVL) of $165.99 million.

Furthermore, Cetus' TVL has increased by 69.89% in one month, which is one of the best growth performances in its category. In comparison, the leading DEX Uniswap (UNI) showed only 7.44% increase in TVL during the same period.

Another notable protocol is Aerodrome Finance (AERO), a DEX built on the Base blockchain. Over the past 30 days, AERO cryptocurrency TVL has outperformed Cetus by jumping 87.47%. We have already reported on several wallets that have collected millions of AERO cryptocurrency in just six months.
