Samsung Galaxy Watch FE LTE edition now up for pre-order in the US

Samsung has now begun accepting pre-orders for the LTE variant of the Galaxy Watch FE in the US. This variant was announced back in June when the Galaxy Watch FE was unveiled, but it was disclosed that it would be available at a later date.

For those who have held back on purchasing the Galaxy Watch FE because of its lack of LTE, Samsung has now opened pre-orders for the LTE version on its US website. There's no mention of when it will be available in the UK and Europe.

Unsurprisingly, the addition of 4G LTE support means the price is also higher. While the Wi-Fi only version launched for $199 (available on Amazon for $179.99), the Galaxy Watch FE LTE costs $249.99. It is available to order in Black, Pink Gold, and Silver and is expected to begin shipping in October.

The Galaxy Watch FE LTE doesn't have a physical SIM card slot but an eSIM, allowing users to download a SIM profile to the watch. Once activated, users will be able to make and receive calls, send messages, and connect to the internet without relying on a Wi-Fi connection or being tethered to their phone.

The Galaxy Watch FE has a 1.19-inch AMOLED display protected by sapphire crystal glass and housed in an aluminum casing. It is powered by the Exynos W920 chipset, paired with 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage. It has NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi. and a 247mAh battery.

The smartwatch can measure heart rate, blood oxygen saturation level, and ECG. It can also detect irregular heart rhythm, has support for fall detection, and boasts aBioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) sensor for measuring body composition such as body fat and skeletal muscle.
