Only a few days following the leaks that confirmed Lenovo's upcoming Legion Go Lite handheld, a new report has brought good news for fans of the original Lenovo Legion Go. According to a new VideoCardz report, the newly launched Legion Go Dock's compatibility brochure states that the dock will have support for not one, or two, but three different handheld devices. Two of those are already known—the Legion Go(currently $589 on Amazon), which launched in October 2023, and the recently leaked Legion Go Lite. However, the compatibility brochure also reveals a third Lenovo Legion Go Gen Two handheld, which was previously mentioned at Lenovo Innovate 24.

Interestingly, the second product brochure link on the Lenovo Legion Go USB-C Dockproduct page doesn’t mention the Gen Two handheld, or even the Go Lite for that matter. However, this doesn’t change the fact that the second-gen console—expected to bring a number of upgrades—will likely be officially unveiled at some point in the not-so-distant future. While no other leaks have surfaced yet, considering that the Legion Go Gen 1 was built around AMD’s Zen 4 architecture, the successor could potentially feature the more recent Zen 5 processors, codenamed Strix Point. The Ryzen 9 AI HX 370, which could power the Gen Two, has shown strong performance in Cinebench R23 benchmarks, achieving a maximum of 23,786 points in multi-core tests and 354 points per watt in power efficiency. It holds its own against other mobile chipsets like Apple's M3 Max and Intel's Core Ultra series, demonstrating a well-rounded mix of raw performance and power efficiency - both crucial for handheld gaming.

At the end of the day, these are all educated guesses based on current industry trends and hardware leaks. Furthermore, there's always a chance that Lenovo made an error in the aforementioned Dock Compatibility brochure, so keep that in mind while considering the credibility of this leak. More concrete information should become available once Lenovo officially unveils the new handheld - likely next year, or if further leaks surface before then.
In the meanwhile, you can read our magazine piece on four separate issues we hope the upcoming Legion Go Gen Two addresses upon launch.
