Aoostar was among the first to announce a Strix Point mini PC, and later, Beelink launched the SER9with a soaring starting price tag of $999. Minisforum joined the party by teasingthe EliteMini AI370, and as the name suggests, it will be the company's first product with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370.
Minisforum hasn't shared any further details about the mini PC yet, but a report from Lonely City Hardware on Weiboclaims that it will launch in October. The tipster has even shared a new promotional poster, which gives us the first look at the design of the EliteMini AI370.
As speculated earlier, the new mini PC sports a similar design to the EliteMini UM780 XTX. However, it appears to be a little more compact, making it ideal for small workspaces. The poster also shows a decent number of connectivity ports, including one USB4, but it does not seem to feature an OCuLink port.
If that stands true, the Aoostar GEM10 370will stand as a better pick as it features the OCuLink port, and this port is a better optionthan USB4 for eGPU setups. Lonely City Hardware also reports that the Minisforum EliteMini AI370 is expected to cost the same as the GEM10 370 in China, which starts at CNY 5,699 (about $813).
That's quite a jump from what top-end Hawk Point and Phoenix Point mini PCs go for (Geekom AE8 curr.$675.20 on Amazon). However, it seems that all the Strix Point products will be expensive, as AMD is seemingly selling the Zen 5 chips at a much higher price than the Zen 4 processors.
