Lenovo will launch the 2024 Legion Y700 on September 29 in China. This new gaming tablet has already been confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The company has also recently shared that the device will feature a large vapor chamber(VC) cooling setup, which would let the SoC offer stable performance under load.
Now, Lenovo has shared performance scores by putting the gaming tablet to the test. Per the poston the company’s Weibo profile, the 2024 Legion Y700 can deliver an average of 59.8 FPS while playing 3D turn-based mobile games. These titles are said to be tested at a render resolution of 2560x1600 pixels, and the average power consumption was 8.8W.
Next, Lenovo shares that the new Legion gaming tablet can offer an average of 59.9 FPS in RPG open-world mobile games. While the company didn’t share the names of the games tested, in this segment, the background on the teaser image has a screenshot from Genshin Impact, which is a pretty demanding Android game.
The company says that the RPG open-world games were tested at a render resolution of 1728x1080 pixels, and the average power consumption was at 9.5W. Lastly, Lenovo tested combat mobile games on the 2024 Legion Y700. Per the benchmarks, the gaming tablet is said to deliver an average of 59.9 FPS at a render resolutionof 2304x1440 pixels. Again, there’s no description of the games tested.
Overall, it seems that the 2024 Legion Y700 will be a proper competitor to the RedMagic Nova. However, with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version and an active cooler, RedMagic's gaming tablet could have a slight advantage. The good part is that the launch is in two days, so you don’t need to wait long to see how these two compare.
