HP Print AI purports to make home, office and industrial printing smarter and cleaner

HPasserts that its latest developments in AI can do a lot of things, making the output of devices such as its new6x00-seriesprinters smarter and more economical included.

Its newPrint AIfeatures are touted to take all the trial, error and potential aggravation out of printing, particularly those involving webpages - like 50% of all print jobs worldwide, according to HP.

Accordingly, its inaugural new AI feature,Perfect Output, is trained to eliminate unwanted elements such as ads and compose the rest into a layout that maximizes hard-copy design and composition while minimizing actual pages printed.

Perfect Output is also touted to handle things that are traditionally difficult to print well, even spreadsheets. HP Scan AI Enhanced has been debuted as its counterpart for scanners, to the extent that it reduced the amount of human labor involved in the activity by 80% for a "major retail group" with 300 sites in Italy.

HP Build Workspace, on the other hand, is backed to enhance workflow and collaboration in the fields of construction, engineering and architecture (wherein printing can be big on numerous levels).

Meanwhile, Z by HP Boost is rated to distribute the power of GPUs that would sit idle in workstations otherwise to AI researchers and developers in other locations, while Z by HP Gen AI Lab can put the same templates, models and collaboration tools on all of a company's workstations at once.

The roll-out of HP's latest AI tools is slated to start today (September 24, 2024) with the deployment of HP Build Workspace andScan AI Enhancedthroughout the US and Europe and the release ofPerfect Output as a beta to select customers, followed by the distribution of the full suite worldwide by the end of 2025.
