Lenovo is getting ready to launch a brand-new gaming tablet, the 2024 Legion Y700. It will be competing against the RedMagic Nova, but there will be a couple of aspects that will set Lenovo's offering apart. Recent reports have hinted that it will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which the company has just confirmed with one of the latest teasers.
This SoC would make the 2024 Lenovo Legion Y700 deliver the same level of performance as the RedMagic Nova. However, as the company has highlighted in one of the recent teasers, its new gaming tablet will feature an 8.8-inch display, making the pad a bit more compact and portable than RedMagic's latest offering.
The company has also shared a couple of photos of the 2024 Legion Y700. These photos showcase the gaming tablet in a sleek matte black colorway. Looking back, the predecessor was available in a gray colorway, but it also featured an 8.8-inch IPS screen (2023 Tab M9 curr. $109.99 on Amazon).
Another notable aspect is that the camera island on the back is the same as the 2023 Legion Y700. This confirms that the upcoming Lenovo gaming tablet will have a dual-camera setup on the back. Other details about the 2024 model are still under wraps.
However, a recent Geekbench listingsuggests that the 2024 Legion Y700 will have a 12 GB RAM configuration. Previous reports have also hinted that the gaming tablet will be launching in China next month, but with the newer teasers, the company hints that the device will be announced on September 29.
