Xiaomi has rolled out HyperOS version 1.2.183 for the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 wearables in China. The health and fitness tracker launched worldwide in August, boasting a brighter 1.62-inch AMOLED display and a longer expected run time of 21 days.
Update 1.2.183 brings several new features for the Smart Band 9. These include an automatic pause functionality for cycling activities, stopping and resuming recording as you take breaks during your exercise. Plus, users can now customize the wearable’s vibrations from the settings menu. There is also a new mini game, and customers can choose to trial a premium watch face before making a purchase. On top of this, there are said to be bug fixes, though Xiaomi does not indicate which problems have been resolved.
Xiaomi notes that the Smart Band 9 update 1.2.183 is large and could therefore take a while to download and install. Users in China will be able to trigger the update via the Mi Fitness app. It is unclear whether or when this software could roll out to other regions like Europe.
