New Philips Hue Centris smart lights arrive with longer lifetime

Philips Hue has refreshed the Centris product line in Europe, with the latest models also found on the company’s US online store. The range includes four products: the 2-spot ceiling light, the 3-spot ceiling light, the 4-spot ceiling light and the Three-spot cross ceiling light.

The Centris combines spotlights with a longer LED lighting panel, with the ability to control each light source individually. The new smart lights use the latest Philips Hue GU10 bulbs for increased brightness; for example, the 4-spot model now offers up to 4,400 lumens rather than 4,200 lumens brightness. What is more, the life expectancy of the new light sources has dramatically increased from 15,000 hours to 25,000 hours.

The Philips Hue Centris 2-spot ceiling light, 3-spot ceiling light and 4-spot ceiling light have been launched in Europe for £264.99/€309.99, £374.99/€439.99 and £419.99/€489.99, respectively. The Centris Three-spot cross ceiling light is available in EU countries for €469.99. Plus, the 2-spot and 4-spot models are expected to be released in the US in the near future, priced at $339.99 and $529.99. Each product is available with a black or white metal casing.
