With this new development, Solana developers can now easily incorporate World ID into their decentralized applications (DApps), enabling cross-chain compatibility for user authentication.
According to Cointelegraph, Worldcoin's World ID is a decentralized global ID that prioritizes privacy. It serves as a human verification service, allowing DApps and other services to authenticate users without revealing any personal information.
This integration marks a new step in the evolution of identity verification in the Web3 space, enabling developers to build applications that can verify real users across multiple blockchains.
“Bringing World ID to Solana is a big step forward for identity verification,” said Robinson Burkey, co-founder of the Wormhole Foundation. “With the integration of World ID and Wormhole Queries, developers can now easily build applications that prioritize real users across chains, improving trust in decentralized ecosystems.”
