Garmin rolls out new stable update with improvements for several smartwatches

Garmin has released a new stable update for the Venu 3, Venu 3S and vivoactive 5 smartwatches. Version 11.14 is a relatively minor update, with the change log listing just two improvements for the wearables.

The first is a refreshed rest screen for the Pool Swim activity with enhanced alert tones. This alteration was also recently released for several Forerunner smartwatch models in software version 20.26. The second change listed in the release notes is a new iteration of GCM Translations, version 2.21. However, precisely what this optimizes remains to be seen. On top of this, several users have reported that an issue with the right swipe function, where it appeared to “bounce back”, has been fixed. However, Garmin has yet to officially acknowledge that this bug, which appeared with update version 10.20, has been resolved.

Software version 11.14 for the Venu 3, Venu 3S and vivoactive 5 can be downloaded via Garmin Connect or Garmin Express. In a post in the Garmin forum, the team has confirmed that the stable update is available for all users. It remains to be seen when the next beta cycle for these models, version 12.xx, will begin.
