Signify has announced that the Philips Hue Lightguide Table lamps will launch in the US this October. These products arrived in Europe earlier this year, with various bulbs and stands that you can mix and match to create your own smart light.
There are three suitable handblown glass Lightguide bulb shapes: Triangle, Ellipse, and Large globe. The bulbs can emit white or colored light with 500 lumens brightness at 4,000K, and offer a color temperature range of 2,000 to 6,500K. With Bluetooth and Zigbee, you can remotely control the smart light via the Philips Hue app, with the option to integrate with various smart home ecosystems with a Philips Hue bridge. Plus, the bulbs are expected to run for up to 25,000 hours.
Customers can also choose between two stand shapes, Dome and Cone, and three colors: sand, sage and black. The bases are 3D printed using recycled materials with a matte or glossy finish depending on the color and a “corrugated texture”. The base is 127mm (~5.0 inches) tall and 134mm (~5.3 inches) wide. The exact launch date for the Philips Hue Lightguide Table lamps in the US has yet to be announced. However, product listings on the brand's website reveal the pricing, with the lamp bases costing $59.99 and the combined lamps priced from $149.98. The Lightguide bulbs are already available, with prices ranging from $89.99 to $99.99. A complete price list is provided below.
