Amazfit announces new smartwatch update with upgraded notification center

Amazfit has revealed a new update for the Balance smartwatch. Known as OTA 7, with firmware version 3.22.7.11, the release will bring new features and improvements to users worldwide.

New features with the OTA 7 update include the ability to have notifications read aloud via Zepp Flow. The assistant can also be used to create calendar events based on an alert. A new HYROX Race activity allows you to track individual, double, and team events. For navigation, there are new turn-by-turn prompts, path deviation alerts, and support for contour maps. On top of this, there is a refresh for the Notification Center, which can now sync with the Android equivalent for notifications with graphics.

Improvements have been made to the sleep algorithm, which is said to have greater accuracy for measuring sleep stages. Plus, countdown timers on your Balance smartwatch are now ordered by recency, and there are automated charging completion reminders. You can find a complete change log below. The Amazfit Balance OTA 7 update is rolling out to users in the US and China starting today. Customers in other countries may receive the firmware from September 18th, though the company suggests that this date may change. You can check for the update by going to Profile > My Devices > Amazfit Balance > System Update.
