Rokidhas introduced theAR Joy 2at IFA 2024 as a combination of its Max 2glassesand its first-gen Station, which, as the OEM already launched theAR Litekit made up of the same glasses with the second generation of the controller hub, is a little odd.
Nevertheless, theJoy 2 is now touted as theAR contentequivalent of the gaming-focused TecnoPocket Go, although the Max 2 glasses are physically connected to the Station for the "seamless streaming" of apps such asDisney Plus, YouTube andNetflix.
Then again, that allows the glasses to keep their approximation of a 120Hz 210-inch screen through their micro OLED displays on for up to 5 hours at a time thanks to the Station's 5,000mAh battery. Then again, it runs an OS based on Android 12 out of the box rather than Google TV.
TheAR Joy 2 is now listed on rokid.com for $498 or on Amazon for $499, while the Station and Max 2 glasses are $199 and $399 respectively as standalone products.
