Depot After Dark: Fields Coin Toss, Steelers Business Trip, Former First-Round Picks Suit Up

The Steelers hit the road for their first business trip of the season, and several former first-round picks suited up for Week 1 after being stashed on practice squads.

Justin Fields helped out at a high school football game, which is pretty cool for these kids. Especially since many of them likely grew up watching Fields play at the highest level of college football for Ohio State. It’s even cooler now that it seems like Fields will be starting Week 1 for the Steelers.

Several former Steelers didn’t make roster cuts around the league, and two of those were former first-round draft picks in Pittsburgh. Both of them landed on practice squads elsewhere, and both were practice squad elevations for Week 1, meaning they’ll be playing to start the season after all.

Artie Burns was elevated by the Seattle Seahawks, and Terrell Edmunds was elevated by the Jacksonville Jaguars, per Aaron Wilson on X.
