St George’s College organises Carpe Diem 2024, a University Fair

Mussoorie: St George’s College organised Carpe Diem 2024, a University Fair featuring the participation of seventy-eight universities from India and abroad, here, on Saturday.

SP Dobhal, Director, Institute of Technology Management, Mussoorie, presided over the Opening Ceremony along with Superior Brother Babu Varghese, Principal, Brother Ramesh Amalanathan and Vice-Principal Brother Felix Kumar. Also present on the occasion were University Delegates, Representatives, Parents, Educators and Students.

The Opening Ceremony was organised in the Patrician Centenary Auditorium. The programme began with a prayer offered by Anjaneya Agarwal. This was followed by a rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by the school choir.

Chaitanya Agarwal welcomed and introduced the Chief Guest for the occasion, SP Dobhal. The Chief Guest was presented a potted plant as a token of respect and gratitude.

The objective of organising the University Fest was to provide an opportunity for parents and senior students to interact with representatives of elite and world class universities across countries and continents to access information related to careers, courses, admission requirements, scholarships and placements.

Among the leading universities present at the University Fair were Imperial College, London, UK; University College London (UCL) UK; University of Manchester, UK, Kings College University, University of Leeds, UK, Ashoka University and Les Roches and Glion Institute of Higher Education, Europe.

SP Dobhal advised the students to explore the vast opportunities that lie ahead keeping in mind their area of interest and potential. He appreciated the efforts of the management in organising the fair on such a grand scale and said that this was a splendid opportunity for students to interact with delegates of the best of universities from all over the world, to access career related information.

Principal Brother Ramesh Amalanathan presented him with a memento as a token of appreciation. The principal also expressed his gratitude to Manuj Mittal, Career Counsellor, Motivational Speaker, Career Launcher for facilitating the event.

Brother Ramesh also thanked the delegates and representatives of various universities for their active participation and support in making the event a success.

The Fair was successfully organised under the supervision of Brother Ramesh Amalanathan, Brother Felix Kumar, Brother Babu Varghese, Mark Gonsalves (Senior School Coordinator) PD Jaiswal (Academic Coordinator), Bhavnesh Negi, Stormy Hazarika, Pallavi Goel, Jyotsna Jennifer, Juliana D’Souza, Shreejay Mall and Praveen Gusain (Estate Manager, St George’s College).
