IFA 2024 | Nothing Phone (2a) Plus now available to buy in Europe
The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus was announced in July as a slightly better version of the Nothing Phone (2a). However, since the launch, it has not been available to buy in Europe. That changes now as Nothing has unveiled the phone at IFA Berlin and has begun taking pre-orders for the smartphone.
The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus shares several features with the standard model, but there are enough changes to differentiate them. If you thought the 'Plus' suffix means a bigger phone, you'd be wrong. Both phones have a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with a centered punch hole for a selfie camera. However, while the Phone (2a) has a 32MP sensor with 1080p recording at 30fps, the Plus model has a 50MP sensor that is capable of recording in 4K at 30fps. Both phones have dual 50MP rear cameras.
Another key difference is the processor. The Phone (2a) Plus has a Dimensity 7350 Pro processor while the Phone (2a) has a Dimensity 7200 Pro powering it. Both phones are available in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, but the Phone (2a) Plusis only available with 256GB of storage while the Phone (2a) can be purchased in 128GB and 256GB storage options.
A 5000mAh battery is present in both phones but the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus charges a bit faster at 50W than the standard model's 45W fast wired charging. Finally, the Phone (2a) Plus is available to buy in Black and Gray while the Phone (2a) comes in Black, Blue, White, and Milk.
Nothing is already taking pre-orders for the Phone (2a) Plus today, but it seems to be selling only the 12GB RAM version in Europe. In the UK, the phone is priced at£399 while it retails for €429 in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, and Spain. Those living in the Nordic region will pay€459 while those in Switzerland can pick it up for CHF399. Those in Eastern Europe, France, Italy, Ireland, and Portugal will have to shell out€449.
Buy the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus on Amazon.de for€429.
