IFA 2024 | Xgimi Aura 2 ultra short throw projector with 4K, Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced available starting today

In addition to the mobile MoGo 3 Pro,Xgimi also exhibiting the brand new Xgimi Aura 2 ultra-short throw projector at IFA 2024. The new model can not only be seen at the trade fair in Berlin but can also be purchased starting today for a recommended retail price of US$2,699 at Xgimi, Amazon, and other retailers. The projector is also available as part of a bundle with the 100-inch Fresnel ALR screen.

Compared to the first generation, the new Aura 2 from Xgimi offers many improvements. The high-end 4K ultra short throw projector combines a "Wide Spectrum + Narrow Spectrum" hybrid light source with Xgimi Dual Light 2.0 technology. This results in a high brightness of 2,300 ISO lumens and 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

Thanks to an ultra-short projection ratio of 0.177:1, the Aura 2 only requires a distance of 17.82 cm from the projection surface for a 100-inch image. This, together with a 44 percent smaller housing compared to its predecessor, makes setting up the Xgimi Aura 2 easier and more flexible. Xgimi's ISA 5.0 supports image alignment with intelligent functions such as autofocus, automatic keystone correction, wall color adjustment, wall flatness adjustment, screen alignment, and intelligent eco mode.

In addition to 4K resolution, the UST projector offers a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and supports Dolby Vision as well as IMAX Enhanced. The integrated sound system with 60 W speakers from Harman/Kardon is compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS. Xgimi relies on Android TV 11 as the operating system for the new Aura, which enables easy access to streaming apps such as YouTube, Prime Video and Disney+, but only via detours to Netflix. Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, three HDMI ports (one with eARC), several USB ports, LAN, and an audio input are available for connectivity.
