Xiaomi POCO M7 Pro 5G shows itself in new pre-launch leak

The Redmi Note 14 series is said to be right around the corner. To that end, sightings of three forthcoming smartphones have been spotted in recent weeks, whether that be courtesy of regulatory bodies or leakers. For context, Xiaomi is expected to focus on the Redmi Note 14, Redmi Note 14 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus first before moving onto other models in early 2025.

However, this only applies to China, where Xiaomi typically launches new Redmi Note models first. Several sources have now noticed what could be a global variant that recently passed through the Federal Communications Commission in the US. Please note that this is not a direct Redmi Note 14 model. Instead, it seems that Xiaomi intends to offer the Redmi Note 14 5G as the POCO M7 Pro 5G, too.

Please note that this would not preclude Xiaomi from releasing the Redmi Note 14 5G outside China as well. In fact, Xiaomi pulled a similar trick with the POCO X6 Neo, which is a reworked Redmi Note 13 (curr. $217 on Amazon). Unusually, the FCC has provided hands-on photos of the POCO M7 Pro 5G, which it refers to by its model number '2409FPCC4G'.

Thus, it is evident that the POCO M7 Pro 5G will launch with two rear-facing cameras and a flat display, as will the Redmi Note 14 by extension. Moreover, the FCC confirms that the POCO M7 Pro 5G supports NFC and runs HyperOS 1.0, which should come as no surprise. Unfortunately, other details remain unknown for now, as does a global release date.
