Acer has jumped aboard the growing niche of monitors that moonlight as a Smart TV. For context, various rivals have unveiled alternatives so far, including Samsung with the Smart Monitor M8 (curr. $549.99 on Amazon). While Acer's CS322QK is not available just yet, it has confirmed launch pricing and key hardware details.
For example, the CS322QK runs LG webOS, which provides access to countless Smart TV apps and gaming streaming services. To that end, the monitor supports Bluetooth connectivity for pairing wireless controllers. Additionally, webOS allows the CS322QK to offer AirPlay 2 connectivity either over Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
As for the panel itself, Acer claims that it outputs at 4K (3,840 x 2,160) but only 60 Hz. Moreover, the 31.5-inch IPS panel offers a mere 350 nits of peak brightness, although it does cover 98% of the DCI-P3 colour space. On top of that, Acer has equipped the 32-inch monitor with a pair of HDMI 2.0 ports, a pair of 3 W speakers and a USB Type-C port that can recharge devices at up to 90 W.
Added to that, the CS322QK finds itself with a two-port USB Type-A hub for connecting external devices. Currently, Acer hopes to start selling the CS322QK across Europe and North America in Q4 2024 for €899 and $599.99, respectively.
