Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Gen 9 has a bright screen and fast performance

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Gen 9 is an excellent laptop as shown by our review. Our test unit which, save for the RTX 4070, had similar hardware managed to earn a “very good” rating of 89%. The key contributing factors to this high rating were the 16-inch 3.2K mini-LED display, fast performance, a solid keyboard, and good speakers.

Delving a little deeper into the touch-capable mini-LED panel, the screen on the Yoga Pro 9i Gen 9 covers all the bases. It is plenty bright in both SDR (670 nits) and HDR (1,200 nits) modes, covers almost full DCI-P3 (97%), and has a speedy 165 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the panel also boasts a strong contrast ratio and decent factory calibration.

Similarly, the Yoga Pro 9i 16 G9 also performs quite well. Our review with the Core Ultra 9 185H managed a CPU Performance Rating of 83.3 pt. So, the laptop will handle almost all workloads without any noticeable slowdowns. Moreover, the inclusion of the RTX 4060 laptop GPU in the unit on sale should also ensure smooth FHD gaming at high/ultra settings.

Unfortunately, the Yoga Pro 9i 16 G9 can be quite loud during gaming sessions. Therefore, even though the six built-in speakers are great, you will need to put on headphones to minimize noise distraction.

Finally, the Yoga Pro 9i Gen 9 shows decent endurance at reduced brightness levels. We measured more than 8 hours in our WLAN test.

Long story short, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Gen 9 on sale will be a good purchase for folks who are in the market for a do-it-all multimedia machine.
