HP presents OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 with Lunar Lake, 120 Hz OLED touchscreen and Thunderbolt 4

After HP launched the OmniBook X, a notebook with theSnapdragon X Elitechip, the OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 is an alternative based on Intel Lunar Lake, which is more expensive but also better equipped in many ways. HP has also given the notebook a modernized design with strongly rounded corners, a large multi-touch trackpad and an illuminated keyboard.

The convertible is available with a total of four different processors, ranging from the Core Ultra 5 226V to the Core Ultra 9 288V. Depending on the processor installed, the OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 has either 16 GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5X 8,533 RAM and an SSD from 512 GB to 2 TB. HP installs quad speakers and a 9 MP webcam that supports Windows login via facial recognition and is said to achieve better image quality thanks to AI noise reduction.

Apart from the new Intel chip, the display is the highlight of the hardware, as the OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 has a 14-inch touchscreen in 16:10 format, which boasts an OLED panel with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800, a frame rate of 120 Hz and a full-surface brightness of 400 nits. Gorilla Glass 5 protects the screen from scratches. A total of three USB-C ports, including two with support for Thunderbolt 4, and a 64 Wh battery round off the features of the 1.34 kilogram convertible.

Price and availability

The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 is expected to be launched in September with a price tag starting at $1,499.
