Samsung's Galaxy Book4 Edge lineup were among the first laptops to launch with Qualcomm's new Snapdragon X chips earlier this summer. Now, the 14-inch model can be snagged for just $899 at Best Buy and the Samsung web store, representing a $450 discount from list price before any trade-in bonuses.
As mentioned, the notebook is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite SoC, more specifically the X1E-80-100 variant. This gets paired with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of eUFS flash, neither of which are user-upgradable. However, there's good news when it comes to the display, as the vibrant 14-inch AMOLED touch panel has a resolution of 2,880 × 1,800 and a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Moving on to connectivity, there's just two USB4 ports (40 Gbps, DP Alt Mode, Power Delivery), HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5 mm headphone/microphone audio jack, as well as support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3.
While we don't have a review of the 14-inchSamsung Galaxy Book4 Edge up just yet, we've reviewed plenty of other Snapdragon X-powered laptops, including its larger 16-inch siblingwith similar specs. We praised its excellent OLED screen and slim metal case, with subpar battery life and compatibility issues of the ARM platform being the main downsides.
