EcoFlow announces new Power Kits with up to 45 kWh capacity

EcoFlow has announced the new Power Kits 5 kVA 48 V power supply system. The products were unveiled at Caravan Salon Dusseldorf 2024, with the company claiming this is the "world's first fully integrated plug & play energy solution specifically designed for motorhomes". The first version of the Power Kits launched in 2022.

The new EcoFlow Power Kits feature a Power Hub 5kVA, with two MPPT solar charge controllers, that allows you to charge an 11kWh battery in an hour. There are four charging methods: solar, alternator, smart generator and shore power. The product comes as standard with a 5kWh battery, though this energy storage is expandable up to 45kWh, which EcoFlow estimates could allow you to live off-grid for seven days. Plus, the solution has an integrated display and accompanying app. The compact hub measures 480 x 151 x 300 mm (~18.9 x 5.9 x 11.8 inches) and can run quietly at around 48 dB.

While EcoFlow suggests it expects to sell the Power Kits 5 kVA 48 V energy system directly to businesses, consumers are also invited to register their interest on the brand's website. Prices will start from €7,999 in Germany when the products launch later this year. It remains to be seen when the solution will roll out to other countries.
