Digital asset company Tether Operations Limited has partnered with digital payment platform Rezo Money to enhance blockchain education in Guinea. The partnership was announced on Tether’s official X platform and aims to improve financial literacy and inclusion for citizens in the West African state.

As part of the initiative, Rezo Money will conduct hands-on practical sessions in the form of workshops at three universities in Conakry, the capital of Guinea. The sessions will cover a wide range of topics, from the basics of blockchain to specific types of cryptocurrency payments, designed to help students understand the principles and applications of blockchain technology. Participants will also be able to apply their knowledge through a project on the Rezo platform, where they will learn how to use blockchain and stablecoins in practice.

The partnership is part of Tether’s broader vision to promote digital education in high-growth economies. Through the blockchain literacy drive, the initiative aims to improve the provision of banking services, create better remittance systems, and combat inflation. The education is expected to empower communities, increase economic resilience, and help build stronger communities.

Paolo Ardoino, Director of Tether, spoke positively about the project, stating, “We are delighted to partner with Rezo to bring blockchain education to Guinea. This initiative will enhance students’ ability to participate in the digital economy by equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need.”

Ibrahima Soumano, Co-founder and CEO of Rezo, called the partnership a “major milestone” in bringing blockchain education to those who need it in a format they can easily understand.

Tether has previously supported various educational initiatives in Africa, including the Africa Tech Summit and The African Bitcoin Conference, which were held in Ghana. This new partnership with Rezo Money further expands Tether’s mission to promote blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
