The Xiaomi Mijia Graphene Baseboard 2 Folding Version electric heater is now available to pre-order in China. The smart home device is described as being ultra-thin, measuring 6 cm (~2.4 inches) across.

The new Mijia Graphene Baseboard 2 can also be folded in half or set at any angle between 0° and 180° to suit your needs. Plus, it is 75 cm (~29.5 inches) long when folded, making it easier to store. The smart heater features a 1.3 m (~50.8 ft) long heating element with 2,200 W heating power. This is said to raise the temperature of a room by 7°C (~12°F) in just 15 minutes. You can set the temperature between 16 and 28°C (~61 and 82°F) and a timer for up to 12 hours. An upgrade over older models is an improved sleep mode, allowing you to set temperatures over four periods in the night.

With HyperOS Connect, you can remotely control the smart heater via the Mijia app or voice commands. Other features include a child lock, protection against overheating and an IPX4 water resistance rating, suggesting it is splashproof. You can currently pre-order the Xiaomi Mijia Graphene Baseboard 2 Folding Version in China for 799 yuan (~$113); the device will officially launch in this country on September 3rd.
