Earlier this week though, Blass reported to his X (formerly Twitter) followers that all previous names were incorrect, adding that Samsung intends to offer the device as the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition instead. An entirely new brand for Samsung, Special Edition would fall in line with the company's infrequent Fan Edition (FE) Olympic Edition and Tactical Edition releases. Thus, it is not out of the realm of possibility that Samsung would offer a 'Special Edition' model of something at some stage.

Subsequently, Blass tweeted purported measurements for the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, which tally with earlier expectations of the device being thinner but wider than theGalaxy Z Fold6. On top of that, he has now sparked speculation that the former could 'get a major camera boost' that should be considered a 'top-of-the-line' and could potentially 'match' the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Specifically, Blass shared an image that could be inferred as the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition featuring a 200 MP primary camera.
