Unveiled in June, the next Diablo IV add-on, dubbed "Vessel of Hatred," is scheduled to launch on October 8th. In this next episode of Blizzard's iconic title, the sorceress Neyrelle is traveling to Nahantu, a new region for Diablo IV that some old fans of the series will remember as Kurast from Diablo II, with the goal of discovering a way to finally destroy Mephisto. In addition to the previously announced changes, Diablo fans will soon get custom waypoints and gear loadouts as well.
Diablo IV's upcoming addon will come with the Spiritborn class, which can summon spirits and cast protective spells to support both themselves and their allies. The aforementioned region is also a new element that many Diablo IV players will encounter for the first time. Obviously, there is also the new story that revolves around Neyrelle's torment, who has to live with the consequences of her previous choices while looking for a way to end the imprisoned Mephisto once and for all.
Diablo IV General Manager, Rod Fergusson, has recently confirmed that custom waypoints and loadouts are coming to the game. When talking about the first feature, players will get the ability to assign any waypoint in the game a special status, thus being able to teleport directly to that place instead of going to the default town, as it happens right now. Sadly, there can be only one such favorite location active at a time. On the bright side, the feature will go live on October 8th, with the arrival of the upcoming expansion.
While Fergusson also confirmed that custom loadouts are in the works, he did not reveal an accurate date for this feature's arrival. However, he mentioned that it will arrive not long after the Vessel of Hatred add-on. PlayStation 5 gamers who missed Diablo IV so far can currently grab it off Amazon for $37.99 instead of $69.99, thanks to a generous 46% discount.
