Tron’s memecoin platform, Sunpump, has seen remarkable success since its launch, surpassing its competitors in terms of early growth and key performance indicators (KPIs).
According to Dune Analytics data, Sunpump has created a staggering 51,701 memecoins to date. This output is significantly higher than the initial creation rate of Solana's Pumpfun, which saw a gradual increase in new tokens over time.
Beyond token creation, Sunpump has also achieved impressive performance in other metrics. The platform has recorded a total swap volume of $259.2 million, indicating substantial liquidity and trading activity. With 100,746 active swappers, Sunpump has also facilitated over 1.4 million swap events.
Moreover, the platform has generated a significant $2.6 million in fees, a testament to its popularity and the demand for its services among traders and liquidity providers. Notably, several tokens launched on Sunpump have attained multimillion-dollar valuations.
As early as August 22, blockchain researcher Adam highlighted Sunpump's outperformance compared to Pumpfun in terms of daily activity and revenue. On that day, Sunpump saw 7,351 new tokens launched and generated $585,000 in revenue, versus Pumpfun's 6,701 new tokens and $366,000 in revenue.
This surge in activity came just 12 days after Sunpump's launch on August 9. By that time, Tron's Sunpump had already generated over $1.5 million in revenue and facilitated the launch of more than 25,000 new memecoins.
One trader reportedly turned $1,000 into as much as $750,000 on a token called SunWukong (SUNWUKONG), while another memecoin, SunDog (SUNDOG), rallied to a valuation as high as $270 million.
