Model numbers reveal a total of 18 Garmin Fenix 8, Fenix 8 Solar and Fenix E smartwatches, which are expected to launch on August 27th. Details of these wearables have been gathered from various retailer leaks over the last few weeks.
There will be at least twelve AMOLED models, none of which offer solar charging. There are four of each of the following three sizes: 43mm, 47mm and 51mm. Various combinations of Gorilla Glass or Sapphire Glass and stainless steel or titanium bezels will be available, with color combinations including Silver/White Stone, Gold/Gray, Carbon Gray/Black and Graphite/Orange. It is worth noting that a Slate Gray/Black version has also been named, though this appears to be the same colorway as Carbon Gray/Black. Plus, there are watches with leather or titanium straps in place of the standard silicone version.
The remaining six models uncovered have a memory-in-pixel (MIP) display. Four of these are the Fenix 8 Solar, with enhanced solar technology for an extended battery life. These come in 47mm and 51mm sizes, with Sapphire Glass and a titanium bezel. All four models have a silicone strap, and you can choose from at least two colorways: Bright Yellow/Graphite and Carbon Gray/Black. The final two models are the Fenix E, both 47mm in size with a silicone strap. These appear to have a Gorilla Glass lens and a stainless steel bezel in two colorways: Black and Slate Gray/Black. A table listing each model number with its attributes can be found below. A full price list has yet to be confirmed, though the RRPs are expected to start at around $1,100/€999.
