Movano announces Evie Ring relaunch with upgrades and new features

The Movano Evie Ring is due to relaunch this September. The wearable was available to pre-order late in 2023 and shipped to some customers in January following its debut at CES. However, the company paused shipment and sales of the wearable in February due to stock issues, early user complaints and hardware problems.

Now, the Evie Ring website indicates that the wearable will be back in stock on September 17th. An email from Movano in June suggests that this updated version of the wearable will offer a range of improvements based on customer feedback. These include enhanced sleep health and heart rate data accuracy and automatic activity detection for sports such as cycling, running and walking. Additional AI-generated insights link your heart rate, sleep, energy level, mood and menstrual cycle data.

On top of this, the company is working on an Android version of its app, which is due to launch at some point in Q4. In an interview on the PULSE by Wareable podcast, CEO John Mastrototaro confirmed that issues with various components failing or breaking have also been resolved. The new Movano Evie Ring is expected to sell for $269 when it relaunches on September 17th. This would make it cheaper than its competitor Oura Ring Gen3 Horizon, priced at $349 at Amazon.
