According to Mudit Gupta, the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Polygon Labs, the Discord channel was compromised. The timing of the breach is particularly concerning, as Polygon is on the cusp of a significant upgrade: the migration from MATIC to POL tokens. The attackers seem to be exploiting the heightened interest in this migration to promote phishing links on the compromised Discord channel.
