At CES 2023, Lenovo announced the ThinkPhone by Motorola, a smartphone designed to be a companion to Lenovo's line of ThinkPad laptops. Now a Geekbench listing has revealed there may be a successor coming in the future.
The device which is listed as ''motorola ThinkPhone 25 by motorola'' was spotted on Geekbench powered by the Dimensity 7300, the same chipset expected to ship with the upcoming Motorola Edge 50 Neo. The Geekbench result reveals the phone will have 8GB of RAM and ship with Android 14.
The Dimensity 7300 isn't a flagship chipset like the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 that powered the ThinkPhone by Motorola announced last year. So there's a possibility that this new model may cost less than its predecessor.
However, chipset aside, some of the features from the previous generation should carry over such as the customizable red key that can be used to easily sync the phone to a ThinkPad or PC. It is also expected that the walkie-talkie function, ThinkShield protection, and the aramid fiber back will be retained.
The original ThinkPhone by Motorola is listed as unavailable on Motorola's US website but is still available to buy on Amazon for $399, so it makes sense for a successor to be on the way. With IFA Berlin only weeks away, the next ThinkPhone by Motorola may be closer than we know.
