The Moondrop Ultrasonic have an unusual design - the charging case, half of which is made of red, features transparent plastic, and there is no cover. The top and outside of the earphones are therefore not protected by the case, but if protection is more important than the unusual look, Moondrop also supplies a protective case with a hinged lid.

Two drivers are concealed inside the gray earphones - a newly developed balanced armature tweeter made of a lithium-magnesium alloy and a dynamic driver with a diameter of 13 millimeters for mid and low frequencies. To adapt the sound to their own preferences, users can choose between five tuning profiles in the Moondrop Link smartphone app. In addition to SBC and AAC, the Moondrop Supersonic also support the new, more efficient LC3 codec and Sony LDAC to stream music at up to 32-bit at 96 kHz and 990 kbit/s.

Thanks to an unspecified "flagship SoC", the earphones are said to offer particularly effective noise cancellation (ANC). Curious: When users activate the noise cancellation, this is announced by a "Shh" in the anime voice of the in-house VTuber MitsukiYuki. The same applies to transparency mode, which is commented on by a "Hey", and standard mode, which can be recognized by "Umm". The earphones support a gaming mode with a latency of 55 ms. The battery lasts for six hours, or 18 hours with the charging case.
