Viewsonic has unveiled the M1X and M1S portable projectors with stereo speakers and power bank capability. The projectors accept HDMI 1.4 and USB-C video inputs up to 1080p from game consoles, smartphones, and streaming video adapters while displaying 854 x 480 WVGA images from 24 to 100 inches (0.6 to 2.5 m) in size. Automatic keystone and corner correction ensures the projection is always rectangular rather than skewed. Video input lag averages 73 ms.

The M1X has a brightness of 150 lumens, and the M1S has a brightness of 360 lumens. The projectors exceed the Rec. 709 color space used for HDTV broadcasts by 25% for more vibrant colors, but are also low-blue light certified for better eye health. Color temperature can be set to 6,500 K, 7,500 K, and 9,300 K. The Harman Kardon speakers output 3 watts each, and a 3.5 mm audio output jack allows external speakers to be connected. Fan noise is a very low 26 dB.

The USB-A port can be used to charge external devices at 5 volts 1.5 amps using the internal battery. The 12,000 mAh battery can power the projector for up to four hours and charges in 4.5 hours. An external, 45W USB-C PD power bank can be attached to the projectors to extend projection times.

The projectors automatically turn on when tilted from the shut-off position, and their 360-degree stands enable the display of images from wall to ceiling. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity enable smartphones to control the projectors remotely and headphones to connect wirelessly.
