The Honor Magic V3 launched in China in July 2024 as one of the thinnest foldable smartphones in the world. Shortly after its unveiling, Honor shared a teaser hinting at a global launch of the foldable in Berlin. Now, the manufacturer has confirmed that the Magic V3, alongside other devices will be announced at IFA 2024 in Berlin.
According to Honor's official website, it will be present at IFA 2024 which will be held between Friday, September 6, and Tuesday, September 10. However, it will unveil the Honor Magic V3 on September 5, a day before the event kicks off. Alongside the Honor Magic V3, it will also unveil the MagicPad 2 tablet and the MagicBook Art 14 laptop. The launch event will be live-streamed at 14:00 CEST.
While the confirmation of the Honor Magic V3's global release is good news, fans may want to lower their excitement level. This is because the global release of the device doesn't necessarily mean it will be available to buy soon. The Magic V2 was unveiled in September 2023 at IFA but wasn't available to buy in Europe until late January 2024. Hopefully, that won't be the case with the Magic V3. There's also the question of the price considering its predecessor, the Magic V2, cost€1,999 (curr.€1,258 on Amazon.de) when it launched.
Notwithstanding, the Magic V3 is a fantastic device with a design that's thinner than rivals such as the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6(available on Amazon for $1,899), and the recently unveiled Pixel 9 Pro Fold. It also packs a pretty large battery, matched only by Xiaomi's foldable, and charges pretty fast too.
