Infinix is now tipped to break into the foldable smartphone market, albeit with a clamshell-style device rather than one more along the lines of the new Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
The more compact handset in question is still believed to join the Zero series as its first-gen Flip, although the latest leaks have yet to confirm that theory. It has now popped up on the Thai National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) databases under its model number (X6962).
Infinix has managed to keep further "Zero Flip" details under wraps to date, although the NBTC has confirmed that its unknown SoC can support 5G connectivity.
Nevertheless, the leaker Sanju Choudary asserts that it will launch before the end of August 2024, marketed as a 4,700mAh device even though its actual capacity has been confirmed at no more than 4,590mAh.
Accordingly, phones like the Tecno Phantom V Flip, currently available at INR 54,899 (~$655) on Amazon.in, might have a headache coming their way very soon.
