After retrofitting the Cybertruck as a patrol vehicle, the Unplugged Performance Tesla shop now made one for the military.

The combat Cybertruck STING vehicle features a bolt-on armor that can be transported separately to the battlefield and attached there, and relies on a Starlink dish for off-the-grid communication.

There are three STING models -Baja, Protector, and APC - depending on the threat level they will have to face.

The top APC trim features the thickest steel armor with ceramic plating that can take up to 14.5mm rounds "from key azimuths," as well as a beefed protection against mines or improvised explosive devices (IEDs):

This level of protection is critical for military and defense operations where threats are not only present but imminent and severe. Additionally, the optional genset enables long-endurance missions, ensuring that your vehicle remains operational for extended periods without the need for external power sources.

Speaking of gensets, perhaps the most intriguing invention in the militarized Cybertruck actually comes with the base Baja model.

The Baja trim has no combat armor, but sports an "AMP Drive G125TM aviation-derived 800V genset" that goes in the frunk. It can generate up to 125 kW electricity output to charge the Cybertruck by using any type of fuel, includingJet A, JP-8, or even diesel.

The next, Cybertruck STING Protector level, adds bolt-on armor capable of withstanding 7.62mm assault rifle rounds in "moderate threat" environments, and the buyer can add the frunk genset as a charging option here, too. Given that even a simple 12 kWDuroMax generator goes for $1400, it's not hard to imagine that the multi-fuel 125 kW AMP charging option would add a lot to the STING's final tag, though.

Mum's the word on the exact Cybertruck STING combat retrofit models' pricing, but one can sign up and preorder one of them right now if they are willing to learn.
