A new update has arrived for the Amazfit Active smartwatch. A screenshot showing some details of the release was shared on Reddit. Software version 6.1.2.1 is 7.33MB in size and brings a range of changes to the wearable.
The latest Active update brings new Zepp Coach guidance modes, allowing you to switch between time and heart rate or distance and pace-based training. A new training score helps you to measure whether you are reaching your goals. Plus, there is now support for heart rate strap accessories, which can be set up by going to Watch Settings > Bluetooth > Workout Accessory. On top of this, there is a heart rate variability (HRV) mini app, which can be downloaded from the app store.
Unfortunately, the screenshot cuts the change log short; you can make out an update for Zepp Flow v1.5, though other optimisations could be listed below. Reddit user u/siriusbrightstar, who posted details of the update, notes that there are still issues with WhatsApp group notifications. It is unclear whether this is a phased rollout or if all Amazfit Active smartwatch users can now download the update. To check for version 6.1.2.1, open the Zepp app and select Profile > Amazfit Active > System Update.
