According to news from this website on August 15, a test platform based on the Colorful iGame Z890 ULTRA motherboard appeared on Geekbench today. This is also the first appearance of the Intel Core Ultra 5 245K processor.
Ultra 5 245K is obviously the successor of i5-14600K, using 6 P cores and 8 E cores, a total of 14 cores and 14 threads, a base frequency of 4.20 GHz, an acceleration frequency of 5.2 GHz, and a 24 MB L3 cache and 125W (PL1) TDP.
The test platform is equipped with 32 GB DDR5 memory and runs Windows 11 system. In Geekbench 5.4.5 Tryout for Windows x86, it scored 2248 points in single-core and 18354 points in multi-core, overall leading the i9-12900K.
For reference, the i9-13900K scored 2280 points in single-core and 25854 points in multi-core in Geekbench 5, and the i9-14900K scored 2410 points in single-core and 26901 points in multi-core.
If compared with the i5-14600K (2210/15533 points), the multi-core performance of this processor has increased by 18.1%, but the single-core performance has only increased by 2%. However, considering that there is only one running sample at present, we cannot regard it as a universal representative for the time being.
