Renzo Protocol has announced the launch of ezSOL, the first liquid restaking token (LRT) on Solana. The collaboration between Renzo and Jito Network
Renzo Protocol announced the launch of ezSOL, Solana's first liquid restaking token (LRT), in collaboration with Jito Network. This LRT will enable JitoSOL holders to mint ezSOL and utilize it to access a broader range of decentralized finance (DeFi) opportunities on Solana.
Combining Renzo's expertise in liquid restaking with Jito's MEV-enhanced validators, ezSOL aims to enhance the decentralized finance experience for users.
“The launch of $ezSOL marks a pivotal moment for Solana’s DeFi ecosystem. $ezSOL not only bolsters liquidity but also unlocks new strategies for capital efficiency,” Renzo shared on X.
Through ezSOL, users can interact with various DeFi protocols, including lending platforms, automated market makers, and aggregators. This allows them to pursue additional earning opportunities while maintaining the benefits of restaking.
In other news, Renzo's proposal to list ezETH on Aave V3 Lido Finance Instance is now up for vote. If passed, this move will add support for borrowing and lending ezETH on Aave V3.
“By adding $ezETH as collateral, Renzo can drive more demand, boost revenues for both Aave and Renzo, and strengthen the liquidity and stability of $ezETH,” Renzo explained.
This development will also make wstETH borrowing more attractive, according to Renzo.
