Forged Carbon Fiber has just become the new transparent for Sharge's latest power banks. The almost granite-effect material has apparently been chosen for its scratch-resistance and reduced density compared to more traditional choices such as metal or polycarbonate as well as its widely-touted strength and resilience.
Sharge asserts that it has used this new "unibody-forged" technique to create 2 kinds of power bank of this apparently exceptional build quality. The CarbonBlade will be a USB type-A/-C unit with 10,000mAh of typical capacity, although it will be much more of an 'every-day carry' accessory than something like the Shargeek 170 with a maximal output of 22.5W.
TheCarbonMag, on the other hand, will land as a successor to the RGB-enhanced ICEMAG (currently $59.99 on Amazon) with the ability to supplant a first-party MagSafe power bank. It will come with 5,000mAh (5K) and 10,000mAh (10K) variants, although it looks like the addition of up-to-15WQi2 charging is exclusive to the latter.
Sharge also boasts that the use ofForged Carbon Fiber makes each new member of the series extra-thin and extra-light, with a height of just0.46 inches for the0.36lbCarbonBlade.
The OEM has hinted that the new accessories are to be unleashed viacrowdfunding, with the chance of an up to 36% off "MAX Early Bird Discount", later in August 2024.
